CBM.prg Studio, development environment and cross compiler for Commodore computers

Nowadays, programs for home computer emulators and development environments based on Windows or Unix are usually used (cross compilers). For BASIC or machine language development for Commodore 64/128/VC-20, Commodore 16, Plus/4 and PET machines, Arthur Jordison has developed the beautiful development environment CBM.prg Studio under Windows in.NET. The software is quickly downloaded and integrates everything and does not use external tools. With a modern IDE, developers can write BASIC and assembler programs and save them in*.prg* format or directly call an emulator with the*.prg* program by pressing a button. The editor offers several tabs (MDI), is comfortable with syntactic color highlighting, automatic formatting for assembler and BASIC programs and well documented. In addition, tools such as automatic renumbering of BASIC programs facilitate the work. Not only a code editor integrates the CBM.prg Studio, but also a sprite editor, character editor and its own screen designer. In addition, there is a fully integrated 6502/6510 assembler/disassembler with debugger and a memory viewer. For the program export the tool understands in addition to*.prg* also*.p00*, for the import in addition to.prg also*.T64* and*.D64* and an import/export of binary files. For disk image files of type*.d64*, CBM.prg Studio also comes with a tool. The software is actively developed.
