For Japan, the video game crash is irrelevant. Nintendo’s Family Computer (Famicom), in fact a hybrid of console and home computer, becomes the undisputed market leader. On the same day as the Famicom, a company’s first game console, which was founded as Service Games, will become Nintendo’s biggest rival under the abbreviated name of Sega.
