Summary

One year after the release of the Panasonic FZ-1 R.E.A.L., Goldstar releases its licensed version of the 3DO console. Unlike Panasonic, Goldstar hardly produces any software, which means that Koreans don’t make any profit with their device, and even get high losses with every single console sold due to the lower start price. Because of this, and because Goldstar does not license the M2 technology, this console variant remains unsuccessful. The 3DO Interactive Multiplayer is optically almost identical to the FZ-1 and appears in North America and Europe. The Alive variant, on the other hand, is only produced for the South Korean market.
