The Variants

The VC4000 games appear in the approximately five years in which the console is on the market, in ever new editions. While the games themselves remain unchanged, the design of the packaging and modules is changed several times into details. There are at least six variants, which differ e.g. in whether the cover is glossy or matte (probably for cost reasons), or whether it contains a reference to compatibility with the Super Play Computer 4000. The labels of the modules are printed in black/silver, later in black/white/silver. Not all games appear in all versions, and it is no longer possible to say with absolute certainty in what order the different editions have appeared.
