CHIP. Mikrocomputer-Magazin
The first issue of CHIP. Das Mikrocomputer-Magazin (initially Das Mikrocomputer-Fachmagazin) appeared in September 1978, published by Vogel Burda Media, now Burda. This makes it one of the oldest computer magazines. It documented the golden age of home computers as well as contemporary machines and operating systems. Its first issue already featured “Stunde der Wahrheit. Ein aussagekräftiger Test für den KIM-1” (a revealing test of the KIM-1) and “Von Alpha bis Omega. Hier stellen wir Ihnen fertige Mikrocomputer vor, die Sie kaufen können. Dieses Mal: Alpha-1” (an introduction to ready-made microcomputers available to buy, featuring the Alpha-1). The first issue can be downloaded as a PDF from the CHIP website.
