Mobile Gaming - Generation 1

Early mobile games develop independently of the video game industry, they don’t have much in common externally with arcade machines or early consoles and are produced by traditional toy manufacturers such as Milton Bradley, Parker, or Mattel (almost all manufacturers that enter the mobile gaming market, however, become at least temporarily relevant in the video game industry a few years later). On the one hand, these early handhelds are more in the tradition of classic mobile games and on the other, they are an expression of an age in which electronics are increasingly entering the entertainment industry.
