Epoch Game Pocket Computer

Summary
Epoch’s Game Pocket Computer is far ahead of its time: With an LCD screen with no color representation and a resolution of 75 x 64 pixels, as well as the use of RAM modules and a huge battery life of over 70 hours, it is far superior to the competition and anyway one of the few real handhelds of that time. It appears only in Japan and, next to the fixed games, only five more games are produced, including a Pac Man copy called Block Maze. The pre-installed games are a simple painting program and a puzzle game. Due to the failure of the console, the Game Pocket computer is now considered the rarest handheld. Only five years later, the Game Boy of Nintendo appears and becomes one of the best-selling consoles of all time. The technology of the Game Boy is only slightly better overall, the battery life is still significantly worse.
