Microsoft Xbox One S

Summary

In August 2016, the Xbox One S - the development of Xbox One - will be released. The new console is around 40% smaller than its predecessor and supports the playback of 4K videos via streaming services or the integrated BD/4K drive. The power supply has moved inwards and a new production technology of the graphics processor ensures a little more power while simultaneously reducing waste heat and power consumption.

The Xbox One S is available with 500 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB hard drives. Besides black and white, bundle editions come in colours such as Storm Grey, red for the “Gears of War Edition”, and Deep Blue. Microsoft removed the Kinect sensor port, so a separate adapter must be purchased to connect it. The Xbox One S Controller supports Bluetooth and can be used with a Windows 10 PC.
