PC Engine LT
The PC Engine LT is a collapsible Version of the PC Engine, which was released exclusively on the Japanese market in December 1991. It has its own backlit color screen. In the unfolded state, all action buttons of a PC Engine gamepad can be seen on the lower surface. In addition, the PC Engine game modules, the so-called HuCards, are plugged in from the front.
The PC Engine LT has an expansion port, so all hardware add-ons can be connected to play CD-ROM titles. Surprisingly, the PC Engine LT, in contrast to the PC Engine GT or the TurboExpress, cannot be operated via batteries. A power cable is mandatory for the fun of games and stands in stark contrast to the laptop-like design.
