POP Game Space Voyage

Summary

In the 1980s, some of the so-called POP Games appear, each of which has a different theme to the basis of the game. One of them is the Space Voyage POP Game and is released by the Japanese watch manufacturer Hattori Seiko Co., Ltd. The highlight of this LCD handheld is the fact that the device not only has a video game installed, but can also be used as a radio (headphones included) and additionally also takes over functions of a digital clock (time and alarm display). Unlike some other POP game devices, the radio in Space Voyage is an FM and not an AM radio, so it has a different kind of modulation. In Space Voyage, the space probe must be guided through space. Other satellites and other obstacles, over the rings of a planet, are to be avoided. The aim of the game is to reach as many points as possible.
