The video game crash in Germany
The collapse in the US also has direct consequences in Europe. Interton quits the console business in 1983, Mattel and MB in the spring of 1984. The Vectrex disappears in this country after only half a year of trading. The German video game press already makes an oversupply of bad imitations of good games and poor service in the hardware sector responsible for the development at this time. The European market is subsequently shifting in favour of home computers.
