Vectrex

Summary
The Vectrex offers a technology that no other home console has before or after: the image is not built line by line, but via vectors – hence the name.
While vector graphics only allow black-and-white line graphics, these are displayed sharply. The 28 released games are mostly implementations of vector-based arcade games that look more true to the original on the Vectrex than on any other console. The lack of colour is balanced with foils that accompany the games, and which can be clamped in front of the monitor.
Sales were so strong that MB bought manufacturer GCE after just a few months. The video game crash later that same year proved fatal for the Vectrex, and production ended in summer 1984. After the rights reverted to the original developers in the mid-90s, they released the Vectrex and all its games into the public domain.
