ColecoVision Roller Controller
Summary
The Roller Controller was the final ColecoVision accessory: a trackball with smooth, fast 360-degree movement and four extra buttons. Its power connector fits into the ColecoVision, and the console’s power supply plugs into the controller connector so that both devices receive power. For control signals, the standard controllers must first be unplugged and the Roller Controller’s cables inserted in their sockets. Its special connector arrangement also makes the Roller Controller compatible with the Atari VCS.
The Roller Controller is sold together with the successful Centipede clone Slither and also uses the full functionality of the trackball for the games Victors, Omega Race and Wargames. In principle, however, all games of the console are compatible with the controller.
