GamePark GP2X

Summary
The GP2X is a handheld console produced by GamePark Holdings in South Korea. It was launched in 2005 as a successor to the GP32. Unlike its predecessor, the development environment with Linux is completely open and so it is not surprising that all possible emulators exist for the console. The open platform is perfect for game developers. In addition to the game console function, the GP2X also serves as a portable media player and the console can be connected to the Ext port via a special cable to the TV. From the original version, the GP2X-F100, there was a successor with touchscreen and pen in October 2007 with the GP2X-F200 and the joystick was replaced with a 4-button field. The version cost just 80 British pounds, which is a bargain compared to the PSP or Nintendo DS.
