Nintendo Game Boy Link Cable (DMG-04)

Summary

With the DMG-04 link cable, two Game Boys can be connected, and so play together. Games that allow multi-game operation with the link cable carry a logo that usually shows “Game Boy Video Link” on the package and module. In combination with the Game Boy Four Player Adapter (DMG-07), up to four players can interact simultaneously. Only Game Boys of the first generation (DMG-01) can be connected with the Nintendo Game Boy Link cable. For other Game Boy types Nintendo released new accessories, such as the Game Boy Pocket Game Link Cable (MGB-008), Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable (AGB-005) or Game Boy Micro Game Link Cable (OXY-008). According to the model number, the connection cable is one of the first extras released by Nintendo, according to DMG-02 (stereo headphones) and DMG-03 (battery pack).
