Tomy Electronic Pinngg Ball Flipper
Summary
Pinball machines were one of the most important pillars of the arcades until well into the 1970s. The Pinngg Ball Flipper appears as video games begin to displace the classic electromechanical skill games.
It is a portable pinball machine whose game principle is based on the great role models. Here, as there, the game principle consists of keeping a steel ball in play for as long as possible with the help of two flippers on a slanted playing field. It is important to reach as many points as possible, which are achieved by hitting the ball on different game elements. The Pinngg Ball Flipper is also a miniaturized but precise replica of the originals; in addition to the pinball arms, for example, there are the “bumpers” at which the ball bounces off. On the head attachment is a five-digit mechanical point counter. During the game, the pinball makes bell and siren sounds.
