Prologica CP 400 COLOR

Summary
The CP 400 COLOR from the Brazilian company Prológica is a replica of Tandy’s TRS-80 Color Computer 2 in its own housing. Brazil protected its computer industry by import restrictions in the 1980s, therefore local manufacturers re-create foreign computers; Prológica sold them under the abbreviation CP for “Computador Pessoal”.
The first version will be released in December 1984 with a colourful Chiclet keyboard in white, red, green and blue. Like the model, the CP 400 works with an Motorola 6809E and the video chip MC6847, has 16 or 64 KB RAM and is designed for the Brazilian television standard PAL-M. Connections are available for cassette, RS-232, two analog joysticks and plug-in modules; the disk interface CP 450 brings an adapted Disk Extended Color BASIC. 1986 follows the CP 400 COLOR II with built-in power supply, better keyboard and 64 KB.
