Sharp MZ-700

Summary
The Sharp MZ-700 series stands for a group of Japanese computers that differ in the built-in periphery (printer yes/no, datasette yes/no). The MZ-731 (twice owned) has a built-in printer and datasette, the MZ-721 only a datasette, the MZ-711 no periphery. The “top version” MZ-780 was an MZ-731 with floppy drive and small extras. The ROM memory was small and only a machine monitor was available — a programming language like BASIC had to be loaded from cassette. The successor is the Sharp MZ-800.
