Coleco Zodiac

Summary

The Zodiac of Coleco is not an electronic toy in the narrow sense, but an astrological computer that provides information about the user’s horoscope. In order to obtain your own horoscope, you must first enter your own birthday, the time of birth and the place of birth. These data are previously translated into a code using the enclosed manual. As soon as this code has been entered into the Zodiac, different symbols light up on the outside of the device and on the LED display (accompanied by sound effects). These symbols, in turn, can be looked up in the manual at the appropriate place to learn about the chart and the user’s personal characteristics.

The Zodiac also has two other modes in addition to this main function: the “daily forecast” for any day and the “oracle” to give answers to important life questions. None of the three functions can withstand scientific review.
