APF Match

Summary

The Match belongs to the TV Fun series of APF Electronics Inc., with which the company enters the telegaming business in 1976. In contrast to the other models in the series, the match is in an angular housing with wood decor. The two rotary controllers are inserted into the housing. Inside, the AY-3-8500 works by General Instrument, as in many other Pong consoles.

The example in the collection has German labels. One slider selects Tennis, Hockey, Handball or Training; another selects the difficulty: Amateur, Könner (skilled) or Profi (professional). The console serves the ball automatically or at the press of a button; a second button resets the score.
