Atari Video Touch Pad (CX21)
Summary
The Video Touch Pad is a keyboard with 12 keys for the Atari 2600 game console. It is available individually or bundled with the game Star Raiders; since both form a popular pair, the keyboard is also known as Star Raiders Controller. It largely corresponds to the Keyboard Controller (CX50) or the Kid’s Controller (CX23).
Star Raiders uses only five of the twelve keys, but also a joystick. It is the only Atari game that supports keyboard and joystick control at the same time, and one of only three Atari games whose control is so complex that a single controller is not enough (the other two are Raiders of the Lost Ark and Spy Hunter).
