Commodore 1351 Mouse

Summary
The 1351 appears in 1987 as a mouse for the Commodore 64 and the Commodore 128; it costs 126 DM and 49.95 dollars respectively. It is connected directly to one of the control ports. Your predecessor, the 1350, reports movements like a joystick only as directions.
On the other hand, the 1351 works proportionally: A microcontroller in the mouse transmits the position via the paddle inputs of the SID, so that programs with the appropriate driver can closely track the movement. If you hold down the right button when switching on, turn the mouse into the joystick mode of the 1350; then it runs with any software that expects a joystick. The scope of delivery includes a diskette with an update to GEOS 1.3, drivers and demo programs.
Externally, the 1351 almost completely resembles the mouse of the Amiga, but it does not work on the Amiga.
