Epoch Cassette Vision

Summary
The Cassette Vision is the only Japanese system in the second generation. Unlike the name suggests, it does not use magnetic tape cassettes, but also modules (which are often called cassettes at that time). As with other consoles of this era, the modules do not contain the CPU, but also the graphics chip and RAM memory.
As with RCA Studio II, there are no separate controllers. The control consists of two potentiometers per player (for movements on the X and Y axes) and two fire buttons.
There are eleven modules that include the usual clones of Donkey Kong and other success titles, but also original games such as the woodcutter action game “Kikori no Yosaku”.
The Cassette Vision appears only in Japan and is produced there until it is replaced in 1984 by its successor, the Super Cassette Vision. In 1983, a simplified version of the Cassette Vision, the Cassette Vision Jr., appears.
