Panasonic Game Boy Player (SH-GB 10)
Summary
Nintendo’s GameCube was only moderately successful compared with the PS2 and Xbox, but it had numerous accessories. One interesting example is Nintendo’s Game Boy Player (DOL-017), which plays Game Boy (not Super Game Boy), Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games on a television through the GameCube and its existing controllers. The image is either scaled, making it slightly blurred, or surrounded by a border. The Game Boy Player uses its own hardware and attaches beneath the GameCube through a special port. Because the Panasonic Q has a different connector arrangement, Nintendo’s version cannot be used with it. Panasonic therefore produced its own Panasonic Game Boy Player, model SH-GB10-H.
