R-Zone X.P.G. (Xtreme Pocket Game) by Tiger Electronics

Summary

The R-Zone stands for an LCD handheld series by Tiger Electronics, which first comes on the market as a version with Headset 1995. Two years later, in 1997, a version appears as a handheld console that supports the same monochrome games. In principle, it resembled the headset version, because here too, the games were projected onto a surface; the size is comparable to the Game Boy Advance. But its appearance promises more than it delivers, the speaker slots on the left and right are unnecessary, for example, because there is only one speaker, and it only sends out a pathetic beep in most games.

Since color handhelds were long since widespread, buyers do not want to access this “Xtreme Pocket Game” and so this slow-selling product quickly disappeared. Merchandising articles like the “STAR WARS Jedi Adventure” did not help.
