VTech Laser 310

Summary
VTech (abbreviation for Video Technology Ltd.) is an electronics company from Hong Kong that sold Laser computers across different store chains in other countries. The Laser 310 was distributed by Dick Smith Electronics, for example, so that instead of VTech Laser 310 it was called Dick Smith Laser VZ-310 or VZ-310 (sold from 1983 to 1989). The Laser 310 is comparable to the predecessor Laser 200 except for the modified keyboard and the rather unusual memory size of 18 KiB (2 KiB of video RAM). There was no Laser 300.
Known to Vtech is also the Laser 128 (not based on the Z80, but MOS 6502), which was a clone of the Apple IIc computer; Apple filed a lawsuit that VTech won, however, as the company did not infringe any rights. Today, VTech successfully manufactures learning computers.
