Apple IIc

Summary
In 1984, Apple introduced the Apple IIc, its first portable, compact computer; the “c” stands for compact. It has neither a built-in battery nor a display, but a handle makes its 3.4 kg weight easier to carry. Although it is not battery-powered, it uses the energy-saving 65C02 version of the 6502 processor, made by Western Design Center. Apart from the processor, updated ROM and a few details, the Apple IIc resembles the Apple IIe from a developer’s perspective. Apple later updated it with the Apple IIc+, which has a processor four times faster and an improved floppy drive.
