Atari 130XE

Summary
The Atari 130XE and Atari 65XE were Atari’s final 8-bit computers. They were essentially based on the Atari 800XL, with the same ROM, but more integrated components made them cheaper to manufacture and sell. The range was unsuccessful: Atari was already selling its 16/32-bit Atari ST computers with Motorola 68000 processors, and the XE models also changed the connectors. Their Enhanced Cartridge Interface Port could support devices such as drives, but very few compatible accessories were produced.
