Summary

The CPC6128 is a popular Amstrad computer, sold in Germany by Schneider, that replaced the CPC664. Like its predecessor, it has a built-in 3-inch floppy disk drive. It offers 128 KiB of RAM rather than 64 KiB, but otherwise the two models are very similar. The 6128plus later replaced the CPC6128. The German Schneider CPC6128 has shielded connectors, unlike the Amstrad CPC6128, to meet German approval requirements. Its keyboard is also different. An FD-1 can be connected as a second, external floppy disk drive.
