Amiga CD32

Summary
Like all Commodore game consoles, the Amiga CD32 is a variant of a home computer. The C64GS is actually a C64, the CDTV an Amiga and the CD32 an Amiga 1200 without keyboard and disk drive. Internally, A1200 and CD32 differ by the additional processor called Akiko, which is mainly needed for the control of the CD-ROM.
Commodore fails with the CD32, since there are almost no exclusive titles, but almost all games are versions of games for Amiga and Amiga 1200, which are usually delivered to CD without any changes. The imminent insolvency and ongoing legal disputes of Commodores also disrupt the sales launch. After only seven months production will be stopped again.
