Intellivision II

Summary
The Intellivision II differs from its predecessor mainly in its modernised design. Mattel aimed to minimise production costs and economised on the controller buttons. These no longer have a discernible actuation point, making games less precise to control.
Internally, the Intellivision II contains a code that makes non-licensed third-party games unplayable because they develop into a problem for manufacturers in their quantity and often questionable quality on all consoles. Due to the necessary changes to the ROM of the Intellivision, a few modules can only be played with errors or no longer at all.
Due to the video game crash, the production of Intellivision II (and all other Intellivision products) will be discontinued in January 1984. Old stocks and a revised version of the new rights holder INTV Corp. will be sold until 1991.
