Nintendo Super Game Boy 2 Adapter (SHVC-042)
Summary
The Super Game Boy 2, like its predecessor, the Super Game Boy, brings Nintendo Game Boy games to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Super Famicom in Japan). Nintendo released the first adapter in 1994 and four years later, in January 1998, the Super Game Boy 2 is published exclusively in Japan. The successor comes with further frame options and supports the link port to connect to another Game Boy. The slight speed difference has also been corrected, so the speed is really 100%. The successor is also visually different from the predecessor: the housing is blue transparent and releases the light of the inner two status LEDs. Red lights one when the device is active, green when the link port is in use. Otherwise, there are no major changes to the first version.
