PC Engine Shuttle

Summary
The PC Engine Shuttle is a revised Version of the PC Engine. It is published exclusively in Japan in November 1989. The name added Shuttle makes itself especially visually noticeable. Console and gamepad are larger than the original model and look futuristic.
Technically, the PC Engine Shuttle does not differ from the original model. Why NEC and Hudson Soft brought this console version to the market is hard to fathom. They may have felt obliged to offer a “magnificent”-looking console in Japan shortly after the release of the TurboGrafx-16.
