Nintendo Game Boy Advance

Summary
In 2001, Nintendo launched the Game Boy Advance (GBA), a successor to Game Boy Color. The hardware is fully backward compatible with an extra CPU, but offers a larger display and better hardware compared to its predecessor. The GBA was able to build on the success of the original Game Boy, and in the end over 80 million units were sold. This puts the Game Boy Advance together with the Game Boy of the first generation among the best-selling handhelds.
Nintendo released several remakes of SNES titles for the Game Boy Advance due to the technically comparable performance of the SNES. This includes Final Fantasy VI, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past as well as the games Super Mario Advance and Donkey Kong Country.
