Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP

Summary
The Game Boy Advance SP is the “SP” = special version of the Nintendo Game Boy Advance with similar hardware, but about half of the size and modified display with lighting and an integrated battery. It is the first (official) version of the Game Boy Advance, which has its own lighting, and the first version of the Game Boy, which is not powered by commercial batteries. Nintendo released the Game Boy Advance SP in 2003. Two years later, a version with an even brighter display appeared, which otherwise has no technical revisions. Depending on the brightness setting, the Game Boy Advance SP operated for about ten to 18 hours. In design, the manufacturer was without question inspired by the then very popular, fold-up mobile phones.
The Handheld console exists in numerous optical special versions, such as the “Tribal” edition. Some of these special color versions appeared as a bundle with a particular game and refer to this explicitly. So 2004 (exclusively in Europe) was published together with the title Mario vs. Donkey Kong a red-silver Game Boy Advance SP. On this is printed a “M” symbol, which can be seen on the cap of game character Mario. In the same year a bundle appeared in Europe, which included the game The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. The Game Boy Advance SP in question is gold-coloured and marked with the Triforce symbol from the The Legend of Zelda series.
