Nintendo Wii U

Summary
The Wii U of Nintendo is the successor to the highly successful Wii console. Like its predecessor, those rely on a special type of controller: the Wii U controller is both a gamepad and a touchscreen at the same time. This allows the game to be displayed both on the TV and on the controller, which also allows to display game information separately, or to play without a TV. The Wii U is backward compatible with the Wii and can be used with the classic Wii controller. In addition, the Wii U supports the so-called Pro Controller, which is primarily intended for experienced players.
Despite the novel concept, the console is lagging behind the sales expectations of Nintendo and is responsible for the following economic crisis of the Japanese. By 30 June 2014, the Wii U will sell a total of 6.68 million times.
