Nintendo Wii

Summary
The special feature of the Wii is its unique controller: the Wii Remote (or Wiimote) is a kind of remote control that allows you to map the three-dimensional movements of the players on the screen. This is done via a sensor strip, which is attached over the TV and an infrared camera at the front of the remote control. The position of the controller is sent back to the console via Bluetooth, from where it is displayed correspondingly on the screen.
Through this revolutionary mode of movement control, Nintendo reaches new, barely developed target groups, especially in the field of casual players and thus sets new impulses in the video game industry. By 2012, more than 100 million devices will be sold, allowing Nintendo to sell most of the 7th generation stationary consoles.
