Arcadia 2001

Summary
US manufacturer Emerson saves time and money when entering the home console market by licensing existing technology from British manufacturer Radofin: Arcadia 2001 is a further development of the 1292 APVS, which has been available since 1976. When it appears, the console is technically slightly better than Ataris VCS 2600, but has no significant unique selling point. Externally, it is based on the IntelliVision, the games are mostly clones of arcade titles. Arcadia 2001 is published in countless versions worldwide, with eight versions in Germany alone, including Intercord Tele-Computer XL 2000, Hanimex HMG 2650, Schmid TVG 2000 and Tchibo Tele-Fever.
