Codemasters/Galoob Game Genie

Summary
Game Genie is a series of cheat systems from the British video game developers Codemasters (sale by Galoob and Camerica) which were available for various consoles (NES, SNES, GameBoys, Sega Mega Drive and Sega Game Gear).
The first device was released in 1990 for the NES. With this – and all other published devices – players are able to temporarily modify game data, apply cheats, manipulate different aspects of the game, or enter unused code segments. A total of 5 million devices of the Game Genie series were sold worldwide. In addition, the Game Genie code is supported by most console emulators. Emulators with Game Genie support made it possible to enter any number of codes, with the official devices having a limit between 3 and 6 input codes.
